Free Internet by: Rafael de Carta Free Internet is possible but most of the times you will have to put up with pop up ads. Having to learn how to ignore the ads a breeze for penny pinchers like me. But free ISP companies make a living from those ads that we ignore, so eventually many of them go belly up! My advise is to you is to have more than one free internet service provider at all times. This way if one closes shop the other one is ready to take you surfing. Also stay alert to new companies that may offer sweeter services with more perks. Here are some you can try: Barnes and Noble is my choice. Quick connection and unlimited. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/freeinternet/
Juno is ok, but you can't seem to use your own email applications like Outlook. You need to use theirs. http://www.juno.com/index.shtml
NetZero is only free if you only use 40 hours a month. Not very generous I would say. And they say they "defend" the free world. There are many more on the market, but so far these are the ones I am most familiar with. You need to beware of those gimmicks that say they will pay you to surf the net and offer you free internet access too! If you know of any good free internet providers feel free to share it with us. Send in the information and let us know why you like their service. This information will be added to the list. |
